Key Responsibilities Guided Assistance to the Merchandiser in receiving and compiling new customer briefs.
Ensures consistent approach is used across department for administration.
Guided help with Sourcing and chasing of trims for required product.
Ensure accurate filing of information
Effectively and efficiently following up on lab dips, strike offs, and approvals providing support to Fabric Buyers
Provides general administrative support to the team when required e.g. data input, photocopying, scanning, delivering and fetching parcel/approvals etc.
Effectively and efficiently handles adhoc queries.

Systems and Processes:
Recording the movements of all garments, swatches, artwork, colour submissions on the relevant system and doing follow up’s with Suppliers and Buyers.
Constant liaison with vendors, Buyers and Merchandiser on day-to-day issues.
Challenges the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and proposes modifications.
Executing the Brief
Obtaining detailed and completed briefs accepted from the Buyer and assisting with the printing out of and collation of briefs
Ensures adherence to the Critical Path, lead times, following up on orders and loading orders onto SYNC.
Providing support to the Merchandiser by actively following up on all aspects of the Sync system with regards to the critical paths and production meetings.

Pre-Production:
Guided help with accurate input of information into the ERP system.
Guided help with efficiently compiling the sample packs incorporating all information from the brief and supplier input.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines and operates effectively under pressurized time constraints.
Ensures that status of orders is clearly and promptly communicated to all parties involved:
a) Follow-up with supplier to ensure approvals are sent timeously to meet shipment dates.
b) Liaise with Buying Departments for all approvals and timeous communication.
Builds effective relationships with suppliers.
Provides effective liaison between Buyers, Manufacturing QA and production on all sample submissions and any required approvals.
Qualifications and Experience Required Experience:
1-2 Administration experience
Merchandise Assistant experience advantageous

Qualification:
Grade 12
Relevant qualification advantageous
Competencies Attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Relationship building
Good organizing skills
Strong sense or urgency
Proactive
