Head Office Security Operations (Senior Team Leader)

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Position Overview:

A well established and reputable financial services concern is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Team Leader – Head Office Security Operations, in their Group Security Management Department.

The main purpose of this position is to provide managerial leadership and strategic direction to the firm’s Head Office Security function.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage the performance and development of team members.
  • Prioritise work and manage resource utilisation.
  • Oversee the management of the Head Office security teams.
  • Oversee the compliance and implementation of policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Manage the planning and implementation of special security events held for the Head Office facility.
  • Analyse and escalate management information to the manager for decision-making.
  • Manage the provision of security resources in support of the Unit Head: Physical Security Operations
  • Implement Head Office risk and vulnerability assessment recommendations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the mitigation of any risks.
  • Oversee the operational fitness of advanced and basic equipment for Head Office security personnel.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to enhance optimal functionality.
  • Provide management information for the purposes of decision-making.

 

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Security Management, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a complex financial services industry, Security Operations environment.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Managerial role.
  • Solid knowledge of Security Management.
