The Opportunity 

We are looking for a Product Director to drive Yoco’s Product strategy and translate the strategy to the executive level. You will build-up a structure around our Product verticals to ensure they’re all set-up for success.

You will directly manage a group of product leads and will guide the GPMs building their product plans. A successful candidate for this role is a strong communicator and excels in creating and implementing simple, clear product strategies, and is equally passionate about developing people, mentoring and coaching along this journey.

You have experience with leading product managers and are familiar with Fintech or payments divisions of tech companies.

ROLE | WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and drive the vision, strategy and goals for your given product areas
• Lead and develop a world-class team, hiring strong individuals, implementing  practices and processes, and providing coaching and mentoring when needed.
• Work with executive leadership to understand opportunities, risks and trade-offs in business decisions, and guide your product leads to build and execute these plans.
• Drive product-led thinking across the organisation
• Work with world-class cross-functional teams to develop and evangelize product priorities and roadmaps that inspire our teams’ best work
• Look for new growth opportunities beyond the boundaries of the current strategy.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to cultivate a team culture of impact, performance, happiness, and health.

IDEAL CANDIDATE | WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

About you

• You have experience working as Head or Director of Product
• You have managed both individual contributors and people managers before, and are experienced and passionate about mentoring, coaching and developing others
• You have experience working within the product management discipline in a Fintech environment or a payments division of a tech company
• Subject matter expertise in Product Management with a proven track record of building successful innovative and scalable products – vision, strategy and roadmap,
• You bring understand or have experience of working within Emerging Markets
• Strategic thinker, able to balance long-term vision with short- and medium-term goals
• You are customer-minded with a high quality standard for the product to be delivered
