Right now, we have an exciting job opening for our next Product and Pricing specialist.

What’s in it for you?
In this role as Product and Pricing specialist, you will be located at our offices in Irene, Pretoria reporting to our Commercial Director at Volvo Cars South Africa (VCSA) and be part of a small team. The team works very closely together supporting and helping each other to reach the results and team goals.

You will be responsible for the management of the product carlines, their positioning in the market and their pricing as well as the development of revenue activities both for cars already in the market and new cars to be introduced.

The function and area of expertise are fully data driven and hence require a strong affinity with figures, related IT applications and systems, revenue projections and financial impact analysis.

What you’ll do:

• Develop proposals in terms of specifications, pricing, volume and penetration for new car introductions
• Monitor the market to propose changes to prices and offers of cars on sale
• Coordinate the process between external and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth introduction of new models as well as supporting lifecycle cars
• Administer all internal processes and systems related to specification, pricing, approval
• Manage projects

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you with a few years of experience in business (sales, planning, after-sales or business development) and knowledge and passion for product, and specification analysis as well as pricing and offer focus. You should demonstrate competency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel skills.
Bachelor’s degree preferably in business management, finance or economics. It is beneficial to have experience from the automotive industry and/or proven project management, planning and business development record.
