    You will be working as Project Manager – MV and LV Service, will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Services Division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Service Sales Manager will be responsible to lead the execution of medium-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

    Your responsibilities

    • Leading the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones, providing performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects
    • Defining jointly with the Project Control department, all project plan documents, including scope, financial planning, scheduling and risk management plan
    • Ensuring that the project follow execution best practices and ABB policies, effectively monitor and control project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expense and cash flow and identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risks, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Capturing, analyzing and sharing lessons learned throughout the project and ensuring that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed, drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer
    • Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claim management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements, coordinating with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers, supporting Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiation, claim and project change
    • Act as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders
    • Ensuring the project follow and comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies

     

    Your background

     

    • Tertiary education in Electrical engineering i.e. B.Tech, Diploma or BSC.
    • 3 to 5 Years of experience as Project Manager in Electrical Industry.
    • Medium and Low Voltage experience will be advantageous having practiced Project Management in the Electrical industry is important.
    • Technical Experience in Electrical specifically MV and LV projects and service environment.
    • PMP Qualification or in the process to register will be beneficial.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
