DESCRIPTION

This is an opportunity for a motivated Strategic Growth Executive to be part of establishing a new business entity in South Africa! Grow your career while you establish new market segments in Africa focused on hydrogen and sustainable energy.

The ideal candidate needs to have a solid understanding of the project environment and establishing and growing new technology and product markets. Your key areas of responsibility will be engaging with IPPs regarding various hydrogen technologies and products and creating a lucrative supply change in South Africa. You will need to identify and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key players and lead the deployment of products while proactively identifying new territories and methods to expand and grow the market.

The key trait for this role is the candidate’s existing network and experience in bringing new tech to the market, so be sure to include a stellar track record in your application!

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of business, environmental sciences or engineering

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of experience in hydrogen and/or renewable energy project development, from the pre-feasibility phase through to financing
  • Understanding of the importance of hydrogen in decarbonisation and sustainability
  • Knowledge of current participants in the South African and global hydrogen ecosystems
  • Experience in engaging with third parties to get projects through the project development lifecycle

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your key responsibilities will be engaging with IPPs regarding various hydrogen technologies and products and creating a lucrative supply change in South Africa. You will need to deliver reports on company performance and assist in implementing cost-effective strategies, supervise and motivate other staff to drive performance culture in the company, establish company policies and business plans for approval by the board, and identify and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key players. Tasks will also include creating the rationale for producing molecule-based products, leading the deployment of technologies in South Africa, and proactively strategies new territories and methods to expand and grow the market.
