What’s the role?

We are looking for an agile team-member who will engineer and design applications (up to medium complexity ) based on Hilti modular support systems (BU INS portfolio), working off Hilti’s proprietary software suite i“PROFIS Installation. You will provide a basic engineering of anchor or direct fastening solutions and bill of materials to other Hilti functions (e.g. supply chain) – for further processing. You will collaborate and work within a team comprising of a senior engineer and team leader.

What does the role involve?

 

Your role responsibilities will include:

• Engineering of low to medium complexity applications as support engineer ,based on Hilti modular support systems (BU INS portfolio) using Hilti proprietary software (PROFIS Installation suite).

• Derive bill of materials from design work and provide it to other Hilti departments (e.g. supply chain)

• Design of modular support solutions in AutoCAD (2D/3D) (potentially also in Revit or plant design software)

• Basic engineering of anchor or direct fastening solutions using either the Hilti proprietary software suite “PROFIS” or the technical fastening manual.

• Compile engineering reports (calculation notes) for designed applications

• Collaborate on project execution with different Hilti departments such as sales, global logistics or finance within own market organization or across countries.

• Ensure the adherence to relevant codes and Hilti standards in project engineering

• Adhere to all procedural and compliance pertaining to defined applications

• Basic value engineering (combining technical – commercial – logistics aspects) for defined applications

What you need is:

 

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in structural / civil engineering

• Minimum 2 years in astructural / civil engineering background is key (including experience in steel structure design )

• AutoCAD basic knowledge.

• Knowledge of structural engineering software (R-Stab, SAP2000) is a plus

• Knowledge of plant design software (SmartPlant 3D or PDMS) or BIM is a plus

• Good understanding of structural model building

• Understanding the correlation between technical and commercial aspects of engineering work

• A keen interest in solving complex engineering problems based on analytical mindset

• Goal achievement and solution-oriented personality who is able to work in a high paced fast environment

• Track record of meeting deadlines and not compromising on quality by working effectively with others

• Empathy and ability to work in multicultural environment

• Efficient oral and written communicator

• High learning agility and willingness to understand also small details if required

• Willingness to find solutions independent, but ready to follow directions in more complicated situations

• Willingness to work without tight boundary conditions on a daily base
• Proficient in Microsoft software.
