Job summary

As a data clerk your role is key to assist in the digitization of data collected from processes and in supporting the warehouse department.

This information will be used to channel reports to the relevant decision makers and support our strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To compile all daily, weekly and monthly warehouse data management reports
  • Carry-out agent’s daily stock and cash reconciliation and report results to the relevant managers for disciplinary actions
  • Investigate all discrepancies and errors found on completed shipments
  • Monitor for any tab not cleared or settlements not completed and inform the relevant manager for disciplinary measures
  • Verify all data by comparing it to source documents
  • Perform random stock stakes to compare against what is in the system
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering any data to ensure it is not lost
  • Any other relevant duties as may be assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as data entry clerk
  • Strong knowledge about sourcing and procurement
  • Knowledge about FMCG industry
  • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch-typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
