The DStv-i team collects TV audience measurement data via panels that are set up both in SA and across Africa.  As the panel management executive on this team, you will be responsible for the overall administration of these panels and driving engagement of panelists (adhering to requirements of being on a panel), including activities and deliverables specifically focused on monitoring the panels.  You will be required to work closely with the team of Panel Managers, Project Managers in ensuring healthy and responsive (high polling) panelists.

 

Kantar’s Media Division provides strategic advice and competitive intelligence to the world’s leading brands, broadcasters, publishers, agencies, and industry bodies, helping them navigate and succeed in a rapidly evolving media industry. This includes analysis of paid media opportunities; counsel on brand reputation, corporate management, and consumer engagement through owned media; and, evaluating consumers’ reactions in earned media.  Kantar’s Media Division provides clients with a broad range of insights, from audience research, competitive intelligence, vital consumer behaviour and digital insights, marketing effectiveness and online influence. 

Scope of the role

  • Managing the lists of equipment to be delivered – working closely with OTD/ other couriers. This includes – Sending sales order lists, managing / tracking deliveries and providing more info re addresses etc. Ensuring updates are provided timeously.
  • Requesting sign-off on courier fees associated with deliveries classified as ‘Too far out’
  • Adding newly recruited (For SA only: homes who have received equipment) homes on to an installation list and furnishing the details to the Field Services team. Regular feedback to be checked and updated until the project ends
  • Updating and submitting troubleshooting lists and ensuring field services teams are providing feedback and actioning the feedback accordingly
  • Maintaining a healthy relationship with in-country teams (Field Services) and courier companies (such as OTD)
  • The administration of project incentives
  • Preparation of panel related stats
  • Conducting daily panel administration checks and monitoring of all the panels
  • Managing the administrative and communication tasks associated with the suspending and removal of homes.
  • Logging all interactions with panelists in the Panel Management System
  • Assist in keeping panel projections up to date
  • Assisting with the linking of stock sent to panellist homes
  • Assisting with the loading of lists into Qualtrix software, downloading reports and saving photos to the server
  • Action all panellist correspondence and respond to any queries, where required under the guidance of managers
  • Connect with Panellists and understand their concerns when the engagement levels are low and resolve issues
  • Strong communication skills on the phone/ customer care – can deal with potentially difficult panellists
  • Assist in keeping panellists’ details current
  • Alerting line-management of complex panel admin scenarios
  • Data analysis – comfortable compiling and interpreting stats
  • Dealing with adhoc requests from service centres around the panels
  • Manage panellist communication – in order to drive panel engagement and ensure panellists adhere to the requirements of being on the panel (e.g. bulk SMSs, managing queries through the email box, WhatsApp)

 

Experience / Education

  • At least 2-5 years’ prior working experience in a similar role/with a similar skill set
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Numeric competency (knowledge of Excel formulas is an advantage)
  • Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to learn new programs quickly
  • Very strong organisation and administration skills
  • Very good attention to detail
  • Experience working within a structured and process driven program – adhering to daily tasks and requirements
  • Self-motivated and willing to self-manage – need to tackle specific daily tasks
  • Previous panel management experience will be an advantage
  • Other local languages a bonus
