Minimum Requirements
BSc Eng or BTech (Electrical) from a recognised South African institution.
Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA (not a requirement, but will be an added advantage).
Minimum of 6 years post-graduate design experience within the consulting sector.
Self-motivated with strong leadership qualities
Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit & BIM Modelling (non-negotiable).
Experience with modelling software such as PowaMaster and lighting design software would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
Planning and design of building electrical reticulation systems including lighting, earthing and lightning protection systems: SLDs, GA’s and schematics.
Design work to be undertaken using AutoCAD incorporating Revit/BIM, and basic system calculations for fault level calculations etc.
Material selection, specifications and BOQs.
All designs must comply with SANS 10142 requirements. Knowledge of SANS 10142 is mandatory.
Standby generation system design.
HVAC system supply designs.
Supply design to other systems such as security, surveillance and fire systems.
Building management systems would be advantageous.

An annual discretionary bonus paid in December each year will be determined by employee performance and the performance of the Company as a whole. This would be over and above the Annual Salary Package.
Contract staff are required to secure their own medical aid and pension cover to suit their own personal needs. Permanent staff are included in the firm’s group provident fund scheme as an added benefit.
Staff are required to use their own personal vehicles in the performance of their duties, which is compensated for at a rate per km for official trips. The rate is determined by the Department of Transport’s prescribed travel rates, updated monthly, for private vehicles and is dependent on the type of vehicle used. A limit to the rates or monthly claimable distance may be applied based on client policies.
The offices have both fibre & telecom services available. If required for a particular project, management will approve an agreed amount to be claimed on a monthly basis for the use of a private cell phone (voice & data).
