Key Customers

Purpose of the Position:
To provide strategic and proactive sales support to the various sales functions within the DMS business.

Key Performance Objectives

Industry Research & Insights

• Proactively provide audience data analyses and insights
• Generate strategic go to market material and media sales proposals with clear and insight- led recommendations on fitting media solutions
• Conduct tailored, comprehensive and strategic post campaign analyses that scientifically depict the value delivered to the client and demonstrate the success of the campaign
• Undertake secondary research using specialist industry resources to augment the sell
• Provide input into the development of the overall divisional strategy

Reporting & Analytics

• Manage reporting and analytics tools and dashboards to support the sales teams

Media Strategy

• Assist in assessing various tactical solutions for the various segments
• Provide support in identifying macro approaches to meeting client needs and finding effective campaign opportunities
• Assist in designing creative media solutions, across the various DStv offerings and platforms, to adequately address client objectives & challenges and deliver holistic solutions
• Co-formulate and develop go to market presentations that detail opportunities within the DMS portfolio of channels and offerings that assist the team.
• Understand, grow and contribute to the digital transformation of the Media Intelligence department.

Stakeholder Management

• Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships across the business, including both internal and external clients as well as key partners and alliances
• Analyse the primary needs of each stakeholder and partner to close any gaps
• Collaborate with the rest of the media strategists within the DMS business to structure unique and relevant media solutions to address client’s needs

Reporting

• Provide timely and accurate reports in accordance with business and management requirements
• Design and deliver regular and ad hoc Customer Experience Effectiveness reports and analysis integrating multiple disparate data sources

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Advertising and Marketing or any other relevant qualification
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Media strategy/analysis
• A sound understanding of the SA TV industry and media landscape
• Existing Ad Industry relationships and the proven ability to build productive relationships Experience in audience measurement and the use of industry audience measurement tools and resources, i.e., Telmar Suite: Transmit and SurveyTime, Wizzad, Adlytics, Arianna, etc.
• Understand the digital tools available and at your disposal – Narratiive, Google Analytics

Technical Competencies

• Keep abreast of current industry trends, news and competitive insights relating to video entertainment
• Demonstrate an enhanced understanding of the SA TV landscape with particular emphasis on the Sport offering
• Strong understanding and interpretation of primary research data, reports and methodologies
• Ability to present to External Clients & Agencies as well as DMS Management
• Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
