The EP is responsible for the ensuring that the on-air product is delivered in an engaging, accurate and professional manner. Under the leadership of the Output Editor, you will shape and create news coverage that sets Newzroom Afrika apart from other broadcasters in South Africa and beyond. Working in conjunction with the Bulletin Editor, you will be responsible for the overall editorial content, and direction of the bulletins. The Executive Producer will be in charge of the overall news bulletin in isiXhosa including editorial oversight, management of reporters, oversight of all on-air and in-studio elements, as well as creating the rundown. Key responsibilities Working under the direction of the Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief, to produce distinctive coverage of major news events which are relevant to the specific audience. Assisting with the writing, checking and subbing scripts that will go into the rundown Ensuring Newzroom Afrika’s editorial guidelines and values are adhered to.
