Position Description


We are looking for a Sales Application Specialist to join our South Africa team.

the ideal candidate will be base in Johannesburg and will be following and suppporting customers around South Africa.

 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support Commercial Partners throughout product lifecycle and provide customer product training as needed (e.g., setting up instruments, training, troubleshoot and solving problems) to end users
  • Support the sales team for development of new business opportunities and references in capital equipment and reagent sales
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key customers, opinion leaders and references
  • Use the CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness “in front of” the customer and aid sales
  • Organization of meetings/communication channels to ensure effective communication across business units and distribution network.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of Applications and related sales experience.
  • Proven experience of working with Commercial Partners and supporting a distribution network in the healthcare / IVD / Life Science industry.
  • Proven experience of relevant laboratory techniques manipulation
  • Knowledge and experience working with the Southern Africa markets.
  • Sales Force (SFDC) CRM experience considered as a plus.

Personal Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills at all business levels.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Willingness to travel (60%)
