ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAM
We invite all university students to apply for the Scatec Post-Graduate bursary program. (Honours, Masters and Phd)
This is an all-inclusive bursary offered to talented individuals who are planning to study full-time or currently studying full-time towards a postgraduate degree in selected Engineering qualifications. To be considered, you must be a South African citizen, currently registered or qualifying for possible registration at an approved South-African University.
Applications may be submitted for degrees (Honours, Masters or Phd) in one of the following fields of study:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
WHAT DOES THE BURSARY INCLUDE?
  • Registration fees
  • Tuition fees (no payment for repeat modules)
  • Prescribed textbooks
  • Meal allowance
  • Accommodation
  • A once-off Computer and Calculator allowance
  • Work opportunities (with a work-back obligation/pay-back obligation) – based on Company needs

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCATEC BURSARY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed a relevant degree
  • You must be studying or intend on studying full-time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
  • You must be studying or intend on studying at a university that is recognised or accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
  • Successful completion of undergraduate studies
  • Preference will be given to students from previously disadvantaged designated groups within South Africa
SELECTION PROCESS
