ThoroughTec Simulation, the world’s leading developer of high-fidelity, operator training simulators for the mining industry, is looking for an energetic and experienced Training Services Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping ThoroughTec’s global mining clients to properly integrate and utilise their CYBERMINE simulators and other training products to maximise value realisation. Candidates will be expected to leverage their pre-existing skills and experience, as well as mastering new technology and methods to:

  • Instruct client staff in the effective use of ThoroughTec’s CYBERMINE simulators and other supporting products.
  • Review and modify client training curricula and course material to best leverage ThoroughTec’s products in the context of Client training objectives.
  • Oversee and mentor Client trainers and instructors.
  • Monitor training progress, analyse outcomes and report results to mine management.
  • Critically, this individual will be required to interface with all levels of mine management to identify operator KPI’s, collect and assess actual operator performance data and then implement the necessary operator performance improvement programmes to achieve the client’s desired outcomes.

Requirements:

Prospective candidates should satisfy the following critical requirements to be considered for the role:

  • A tertiary qualification
  • At least 10 years general work experience
  • At least 5 years mining work experience
  • A valid Driver’s Licence
  • A valid Passport (without travel restrictions)
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • A willingness and ability to travel extensively, both locally and abroad, for extended periods of time
  • A high degree of competency in the MS Office suite
  • High degree of self-motivation, self-discipline and an ability to work independently

Desirable skills and experience:

Additionally, possession of any of the following will be considered an advantage:

  • Client relationship / account management work experience
  • Educational work experience
  • A Background in engineering or data analysis
  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, French or Russian
  • Experience working with operator training simulators
