About the Unit

Based at our offices in Paarl, Yara Africa Fertilizer has a vacancy for a Creditors Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will administer the processing, payment and reconciliation of creditor accounts, within the pre-defined standards as set out in compliance to the Company’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Invoice Handling
  • Ensure all invoices are received from suppliers in a timely manner
  • Scan all invoices within 24 hours of receipt and send to Prague
  • Ensure all invoices not processed via workflow is attached to the SAP document
  • File received invoices in a timely manner
    • Processing of invoices
  • Ensure Prague uses correct vendor
  • Respond to all workflow cases allocated
  • Ensure all workflow cases are resolved before payment is due

Responsibilities (Continued)

3. Reconciliations

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of vendors as requested by manager
  • Follow up on all queries and ensure no queries older than 30 days outstanding
  • Ensure all credit notes due are received

4. Payments

  • Check correctness of due dates of processed invoices before invoices are due
  • Ensure all processed invoices are unblocked with correct payment method before due date
  • Request extra payment runs when needed

Additional Information

  • Matriculated person with good communication skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar position
  • Post matric Financial Diploma will be beneficial
