This position is responsible for the production and manufacturing of Foam products. This position further encompasses the purpose of supervising the Foam plant by overseeing the various components within the Production line in order to manufacture with efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Chemical Engineering or other related Qualifications

· At least 3 years’ experience within a Chemical Manufacturing Plant or any related fields.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

· Production Planning

· Systems monitoring

· Process flow understanding

· Motivation of team members

· Ability to show resilience and a flexible approach

· Computer knowledge

· Legislative knowledge

· Stock/ Inventory/ Raw Material control

· Stock ordering

· Team work

· Staff management

· Industrial relations (human resources), discipline management
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Allocation of daily responsibilities and management thereof
  • Ensure the manufacturing plant is adequately set up with all relevant efficiencies
  • Chemical and additive tanks are full and have sufficient material for foam production run
  • Ensure quality products are assessed and in line the company standards
  • Ensure sufficient space in curing shed prior to starting up plant
  • Ensure plant is set up for foam run as per production plan
  • Calculate chemical consumption and input accordingly
  • Ensure plant is in sound mechanical working order according to daily & weekly maintenance service check lists
  • Report all non-conformances
  • Testing of foam runs
  • Sample & quality checks as per national quality reports
  • Weekly quality report
  • Daily stock level report
  • Weekly supply of chemicals to re-bond plant
  • Weekly cycle counts.
  • Housekeeping
  • Ensure the plant is well maintained and kept to the KAP Standards
  • Comply with all company procedures and policies including OH&S.
  • Providing administrative support to the marketing and sales team.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R25,000.00 – R30,000.00 per month
