Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a tertiary qualification in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Inventory Management or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in distribution, production and warehousing is essential
  • Previous experience in stock management systems e.g. Syspro or SAP R3 is required
  • Must have a sound knowledge of the international market
  • Must be knowledgeable of all Acts, i.e. hazardous chemicals, road transportation, etc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the planning and execution of production activities in relation to stock availability.
  • Reviewing current transporters rates and service levels, as well as sourcing of alternate compliant transporters.
  • Assisting with quality control investigations for in-house products.
  • Conducting monthly review of export stock takes and the reconciliation thereof, including investigations and checking document control.
  • Performing process review and oversight of all standard operating procedures and checklist compliance.
  • Ensuring timeous resolution of customer complaints and relevant corrective action.
  • Reviewing stock ageing in conjunction with Export Coordinators and Dispatch Team Leader to facilitate rotation of stock and adherence to shelf-life requirements.
  • Checking and approving all Pro-Forma Invoices.
  • Updating in-house and third-party price lists.
  • Approving costs of stock transfers from retail to international.
  • Standing in for the International Commercial Manager when required.
  • Reviewing monthly macro plan requirements against monthly production.
  • Assisting with non-core Supplier negotiations.
  • Approving purchase orders within LOA.
  • Approving below margin sales.
  • Reviewing production and sales reports for distribution.
