The position

As a Multi-Channel Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy and implementation of digital marketing solutions that enhance the customer & patient experience. He/she will lead in driving change across the affiliate in enhancing our overall multichannel customer engagement & capabilities being responsible for creating and implementing digital marketing tactics that execute on the brand strategies. He/she will also be the South Africa lead on the successful implementation and adoption of new/existing initiatives. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for tracking the implementation and uptake of these projects through meaningful KPI’s and metrics.

This individual will collaborate across key Therapeutic Areas and functions, and work with specialized agencies to create solutions and projects which deliver outstanding customer & patient experiences.

• Lead South Africa affiliate digital strategy to support the overall Novo Nordisk portfolio. Collaborate closely with Marketing leadership and other functions to evolve and optimize our digital marketing goals, strategies, and tactics including applicable content development to support our portfolio and enhance customer engagement
• Act as the catalyst for digital transformation, promoting a cross-functional focus on customer experience. Establish core digital channels and support Marketing and other functions to execute effectively
• Define KPI reports concerning multichannel activities, monitoring those, taking conclusions and providing advice on possible actions
• Contribute to driving change across the affiliate, developing and curating content, working closely with the Brand Managers to deliver high customer satisfaction, high business impact customer experiences
• Collaborate with Region Europe, Global Marketing & the Global Multichannel team in the development, planning, piloting and execution of emerging multichannel capabilities and projects for South Africa.

Qualifications

You have a minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in business administration, , marketing or relevant with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a multinational pharma company. You are an experienced marketing professional and should have a working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and project management processes and experience in pharmaceutical marketing. Demonstrate knowledge and strong understanding of all traditional and non-traditional consumer marketing channels including print, online, broadcast, and social media, and experience in search engine optimization, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns. In addition, having a strong passion for and knowledge of Multichannel Marketing and technology, emerging media, and the internet, with solid knowledge of traditional and emerging digital marketing campaigns, targeting, measurement, and reporting and strong knowledge of website and advertising analytics tools.

• Excellent listening, presentation, writing, editing, and communication skills. High level of comfort with a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to multitask and quickly synthesize multiple sources of data
• Ability to advance ideas and plans in an ambiguous and consistently changing business environment
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional, matrixed teams. Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Demonstrate the ability to lead without authority and display a high degree of ethical standards and personal integrity. Strong knowledge of best practices in digital media, email marketing, and website optimization. Demonstrate ability to collaborate/partner with cross-functional teams
• Having Vendor / Consultancy / Agency management experience. Budget management is required; P&L ownership is preferred. Multi-project design, launch, and execution
